For as long as I can remember I have been surrounded by animals. Growing up my time was spent juggling a number of part time jobs, including working on a local dairy farm, working with point-to-point horses and working for private family stables. My weekends were mainly spent on the family farm and working at the hunt kennels. After leaving school I went on to gain a ‘National Certificate in Animal Care,’ qualified as an ‘Animal Nursing Assistant’ and most recently as an ‘Equine and Canine Merishia Massage Therapist’. Along the way I have gained valuable experience working as a Veterinary Nurse, working in horse racing yards, lambing sheep, milking cows and even working on cattle stations in the Australian Outback.
Today with my own horse I enjoy hacking, hunting, fun rides, cross country and visits to the beach! With my dogs, my husband and I enjoy walking and beating.
The quality of an animal’s life is very important to me. I strongly believe ‘our animals have been our friends and looked after us so in turn we should look after them!’
